Christmas Weekend!

We started our Friday morning Bright and Early! I woke up at 5 o'clock AM so that Dax and I could get on the road by 6:00. Ray's flight was suppose to arrive at 9:00 AM. We got to the airport around 8:30 so we had about 30-40 minutes until we would be reunited with the Man of the House. Dax was pretty excited to see Daddy. His face lit up and he went running to him! (They have been inseparable since) We were a little hungry when we left the airport so we stopped to get some breakfast. We went to I-HOP. I think that Dax was too excited to have Daddy to eat.

Later that evening, we got invited to go to the Carlsons' home for Christmas Eve dinner. There were quite a few people there. The food was delish!

Every year on Christmas Eve, it is a tradition in our family to open up one gift.

Of course it is always PJ's. There is nothing better than Christmas Jammies! I put Daxton and Ray to bed early so that Santa could arrive here quickly and get home to Mrs. Claus. I know how she feels having Santa Claus gone for quite some time.
After Santa left this is what our room looked like..

Daxton was given a Basketball hoop and a couple books, and some other fun little toys that were in his stocking. Ray was given a Remote Control Dodge Pick-up and a book, and some goodies. I was given a rug and a book and some goodies also.

Dax is definitely our little future Basketball Player!
For Christmas 2010 he received the following gifts:
FROM MOM & DAD-
My first Remote Control Police car
Home Depot Tool Set
Outfits
Adventure Safari Touring Track
DVD's
I am a Child of God Picture Frame
Wheelie Car
FROM GRANDPA & GRANDMA PHILLIPS-
Thomas the Train Wooden tool set
FROM GRANDPA GARY & VAL-
Wooden Rocking Chair
FROM GRANDMA LORIE & ROB-
Lego Duplo Set
VTeah Zebra Scooter

Thanks to everyone else that gave our little man a gift! We appreciate your love and generosity!

The Carlsons' invited us to go snow machining with them! We had a blast even tho is was really REALLY cold!

We are being very lazy on this Sabbath day. We are also sad to say our "See you later's" Tomorrow morning. We are praying that Ray gets a call here in the next week or so, for a new job that he applied for! We hope that all of you have had a Merry Christmas!

Dashing through the snow!

We have less than a week until Christmas! Yes, less than a week! I'm soo ready for it. On Friday we get to go pick Ray up at the airport! He will only be here for a few days, but we will take it! Plus, we don't have to worry and wait for him to drive 14+ hours from Williston, North Dakota pass through Billings, Montana and down through Riverton, Wyoming and home to Kemmerer!

We have been getting snow the passed couple of days, so yesterday I thought that since it was still snowing and was below 0 that we could try sledding.. The only problem with it was that the snow wasn't right, and the kiddos couldn't get their sleds down the hill. Good thing Daxton had a sled that had a rope so we killed 2 birds with 1 stone. He "Dashed through the Snow" and I got a work out!

New Purchase!

So, for the last few months I have really REALLY wanted to get a little nicer camera. I mean mine works great and I am glad I have it. But, with a busy and impatient 1 year old it doesn't take that great of pictures. By the time I get the camera ready and clicked to capture a priceless photo he's gone and out the room.
I am not sure about you but.. GRR!! It drives me crazy. I also am addicted to capturing the special moments in peoples lives. (I know, I know we already have enought photographers in the world, and I couldn't agree more!) I think there are atleast 10-15 of my friends that are photographers. Which is great!! But I don't want to interfere with your business, besides I don't have ANY schooling what so ever.
ANYWAYS!!!
I'm not wanting to be a photographer except one for my son, and those around me. So, I bought a new digital camera.

It is a Fujifilm FinePix s1600. It was cheap, and basically what I wanted. It also got 4.5/5 stars. So I will keep you posted on how it is treating me once I receive it!

Families Can be together Forever

This last weekend, after we said our Goodbyes to Ray. Dax and I went with the Carlsons' to SLC to do a little last minute shopping and to hit the lights on temple square. Before the lights came on we went and took a tour of the Beehive house (AMAZING by the way) and went to the visitors center.

It was pretty chilly when we got outside that Dax needed to be ultra bundled.

How cute is this face? I love it so very much.

While we were on Temple square Carolyn was kind enough to take a couple pictures of Dax and I infront of what I think this year is my favorite Christmas Light color. The only thing that was missing is Ray. But he was definitely there in spirit.

Thank you Carlsons for inviting us to go with you guys.

Gone Fishing

I'm not quite sure when we took these pictures but I know it was sometime in Septemeber. I love it, Ray is going to have a great little fishing buddy.

Aren't they cute? I miss having my family together EVERY single day. I hope that things start looking up here in the next month or so, and Ray can come back!

Last time they'll say "I'm Bored!"

This is what happens in our home when I hear the one simple word "bored"; whether or not it's my child saying it. So warn your children to never NEVER say bored in our home.

Ha ha, truth is, I started to fill a bowl up with soap & water and Mica sweetly asks "What are you doing?" my reply "I'm going to wash the baseboards, they are really dirty." "Can I help?" She asks again. I would be crazy to not accept her offer. Of course what ever looks like the funnest thing to do Dax will do it. So I had two little helpers help me. I'm not quite sure what Dax did better, soak the carpet or soak him self. I think it was TONS more work with the two of my little helpers than it would have been with just me because after I had to get my shampooer out and suck up as much water as possible.

He is the cutest and cleanest little mess maker I have ever seen! Love him so much! Thanks for your help Mica and Dax!

Things of the Past

I have since forgotten what it's like to be "up to date" on the latest fashions. I no longer spend over $20 for a pair of jeans & shirts. I don't wear more than mineral powder & mascara, and on occasion eyeliner. I only accessorize when I feel like getting mauled by my 1 year old.. One thing is certain, I wouldn't give up what I have NOW for what I had THEN! I love being a Mommy, even if that means some days I don't take a shower.
I love you Daxton Ray.

Happy Halloween!!

We went Trick-or-Treating a few times this year. Dax was one sugar-high little boy! He got a lot of loot. We even got a TON of full size candy bars this year. Yummy!

I must admit that I have THE cutest Monkey Ever!!

The Longest October Month Ever!

So, it has been about 3 week since I posted last. A lot has been happening but nothing that helps the days go by fast. Ray left for North Dakota on October 4th! Sad day for us. We were planning on going to Rexburg the day he left but some little mishaps happened and we didn't get to head down there until Wednesday the 6th!

I will start with North Dakota: Ray is in a town called Williston. The population of the town is around 13,000. I don't know a whole lot about what is there but I do know that there is an International Airport, Wal-Mart, Applebees, and of course my Hub. We surely do miss him and his helping hand around the house it is definitely different trying to me the Husband and the Wife, and the Mother and the Father. I really feel for the spouses of military heroes. We were under the impression that Ray was basically going to be able pick his own schedule so he was going to do 3 weeks of work then one week home with us. Well, when he got there he found out otherwise. He isn't going to be able to come and visit us until Thanksgiving.. It's going to be a lonnngg month!!!

Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, St. Anthony: Dax and I started out in IF. We were able to stay with Kami, Kaden, and Garrett. Kaden and Dax I know really do like each other but you know too much of a good thing is never good. After a few days Dax and I headed to my Mom's. We did have some good times with Kami, Kaden, and Garrett. We were able to go and feed the ducks at the Greenbelt. Dax was having so much fun throwing bread into the river and say "Duck". At the Shilo one night they were having a Chocolate Fest where we witnessed Garrett eat a chocolate covered cricket and larva. I am soo very grossed out I even heard it crunch. I guess on the way home he pulled a cricket wing out of his teeth!!! We were able to see Jessica also when we were in Idaho Falls. She came over to Kami's and we talked and laughed and had a great night.
We were in Idaho for two Sundays, the first Sunday we spent with the Phillips' we were able to go to church with them and then afterwards everyone came over and we ate lunch. It was fun to be able to see all of them. We wish we could have stayed a little longer there but it was Jayci's Birthday party later that afternoon.
The next couple of days flew rather fast. We were able to go to lunch a couple times with Grandpa Gary. And Daxton's favorite part.. The pumpkin patch!

Dax picked out his very own pumpkin!

At the pumpkin patch they had a little straw maze. Soo cute Kaden did such a good job and Dax needed just a little help.

Grandma Lorie met us there and helped us pick out some good pumpkins. She even hauled Kaden and Dax around in a little wagon.

Aren't they the cutest little guys you have ever seen? They had a blast!
We had such a great time in Idaho visiting family and friends. Dax and I were sure glad to be home though. We missed our friends in Kemmerer. After all it is where our home is.
