I love my title as Mommy.

I am so thankful. I am thankful for my baby. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father entrusts me with one of his Children. I am thankful that I get to spend every waking moment with my son (even though sometimes I wish I had a little peace.) I am thankful for the health of my son. I am thankful that I get to show my son new things. I am thankful to teach my son about the teaching of the ONLY true church. I am thankful for the Plan of Salvation. I am thankful for little fits of stubborness. I am thankful for goobery noses and stinky bums. I am thankful for slobbery grins. I am thankful for teething gums. I am thankful for messy faces and food splattered floors. I am thankful for giggles. I am thankful for innocent faces.

I absolutely love being a Mom. It definately has it rough and tough days but I know in the end I am doing the right thing. I couldn't imagine my life without have my son, my joy, my light.

My lil' Shortcake

Last Sunday we had a delicious Sunday dinner followed by a delicious summertime dessert. We DEVOURED strawberry shortcake. Make with Hostess Shortcakes, strawberries, and coolwhip on top. Mmm..

I love sharing new things with Dax and letting his taste buds explode to new flavors and textures. Because he ate his dinner so well, I rewarded him with a little shortcake of his own.





After dinner I needed to fold laundry, I had a little helper this time. Except I am not sure if he was helping me or making things worst. What ever he was doing he was doing a good job at it. He is so cute. Love Him!!

I am so glad that I have him to help me. He is going to be such a big helper when he gets bigger. Daxton Mommy is so glad that I get to spend EVERYDAY with you. You make my life so much brighter than before.

Summer Lovin'

Last week we went to Rexburg to a funeral for a daughter of a friend. Just Dax and I went, Ray had to stay home because of work. We camped out at Kami's house. Dax had a blast with his favorite boy cousin Kaden. The funeral was on Tuesday in Rigby, ID. It was such a beautiful day to celebrate such a short and amazing life of one tiny little angel. I'm sure she is up in Heaven playing with Daxton's cousin and Kaden's big brother Cameron.

The boys were so good for us that after the funeral we (Kami, Dax, and me) met Garrett and Kaden at Me N' Stans for some lunch and afterwards we went swimming at Rigby Lake. My oh my has Rigby Lake changed since I have been there last. It costs to get in ($5.00) but there is nice grassy areas and real beach like sand. There is also a slide that you have to swim to.

Dax didn't like the water too much, we would put him in the water and he would just SCREAM!!! One thing he did like was the sand.. He couldn't get enough of it. He was shoveling it in by the handfuls. Poor guy we found it in his diaper later that night. His colon got exfoliated.

We were going to leave for home after the funeral but because of Rigby Lake we stayed just one more night. So that I wasn't tired driving home.

Daxton was sooo excited to get home, and especially to see one special person "Da Da"

We were so thankful that we were able to go and show our support for the Sullenger Family, and wish them the best for the future. We also are so thankful that they shared their story and strength because it has made our testimony grow. We pray for them every night and hope that they can have peace in their hearts.

All Because Two People Fell In Love

Believe it or not, Ray and I have been married for FOUR years today. I cannot believe that it has been that long. I remember our wedding day like it was yesterday. We said "I DO" on Saturday July 15, 2006 in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple. We were SO very thankful for all of the family that attended and celebrated the new chapter in our lives with us.We started the day off bright and early with a Breakfast Brunch provided by Ray's Mom and Dad. Me and my sisters sang a song while we were there and while our guests were eating breakfast. My amazing cousin Daniel assisted us with the guitar.

After the brunch, we were to be at the temple by 11 AM, so Ray and I headed down to Idaho Falls in a hurry (atleast they couldn't start without us!) We were about 10 miles out of Rexburg that I realized that we didn't have our marriage license with us, so we had to turn around. Ray should have figured there was going to be ALOT of forgetfulless starting that day.

Thank goodness for the thought of my Mom, she suggested that we took out our endowments before the wedding day which we did. We were endowed the Wednesday before our wedding which was July 12th 2006. So all we had to do was get sealed together. It couldn't have been any more spiritual.

After we were sealed our families all gathered together to eat lunch on the Temple grounds. We had sandwiches and cookies and chips and fruit and water or juice.




We had a while to wait a while for the reception to start after we were sealed so Ray and I decided to check into our Honeymoon Suite a little early. (I will leave that up to your imagination ;D)

Our reception, I have to say I was a little worried about how it was going to be decorated, because I am not a fancy, lacey, ruffley type of person. But when I walked into the church where it was held, I was in AWW...
We had so many fun things. We had food, a candy bar, a bubble machine, a quartet, and a ton of guests and family.

After many pictures and shaking of hands, we decided to head off to our hotel..


We got bombarded with Silly String, and hair spray paint when we left the church, when we got out side this is what we found...

This is where I say goodbye, you don't need to know what happened next.
To my wonderful Husband, thank you for picking me to be your wife, we have been through alot over the last few years. We have shed a lot of tears, shared a lot of laughter, had good times and we have had our bad times. We have welcomed one baby boy into our lives and because of you, Ray, he is ADORABLE! I love you honey and I can't wait to be celebrating our 50th!! It will be July 15th, 2056!!

My little FIRECRACKER

Horray for the 4th of July! I think that it is one of my favorite Holidays. What could be better than being surrounded by family, friends, food, fire works, and fun!! Wow, that was a lot of "f" words. Ha ha. So this is how we celebrated Daxton's 1st fourth of July:

We got Daxton all dressed up Patrioticly (I think that is the best part of the 4th.. The cute new outfits.)

Then we headed down to the fire station. They have a FREE annual Fireman's breakfast. We feasted on eggs, ham, and pancakes. Mmm.. Daxton LOVED it, as did I. He saw the firedog dressed up in a fireman uniform and was a little freaked out. But he did get a frisby from him or her.

After breakfast we went and washed the Pick-up, and then headed home. We all took a nap and slept for 3 hours!!


When we woke up, we headed over to the Carlsons' house for a little while. He got fed FUDGE STRIPED COOKIES.. he absolutely LOVED them!!

Later that evening we had a BBQ at the Carlsons' house. We had steaks, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, baked beans, veggies and fruit and dip.



Daxton was such a mess that I ended up having to give him a bath at the Carlson's house. Good thing a few weeks earlier we gave them some shampoo, and baby wash and lotion. We got Dax in his jammies after his bath and we sat around the fire and talked while the sun went down.


When it started getting dark we made our way to the front yard so we could enjoy the firework show. Good thing we had some pyro men, us women just enjoyed from a distance. Dax ended up falling asleep shortly after we started them so he didn't get to enjoy them as much as us, but he has MANY years of fireworks.
We didn't enjoy it for too long, before we had fireworks flying at our head at an alarming speed. (Thanks Doogan)
All in all we had a pretty great 4th of July. We are so thankful that we have such great friends to spend it with.
